Leveraging Multiple Teen Driver Safety Programs to Reduce Distracted Driving, Increase Seat Belt Use and Improve Safety Culture |
摘要: |
The current proposal is motivated by three questions centered on improving safety culture and reducing distracted driving in teen drivers. First, what anti-distracted driving campaigns will work to uphold safe driving habits for novice drivers at the high school level? Second, does a safety culture approach that integrates effective anti-distraction campaigns with an effective seatbelt campaign ("Seat belts Are For Everyone - S.A.F.E.") lead to improved outcomes for both issues compared to campaigns in isolation? Third, will a safety culture approach lead to safety improvements on other, less emphasized, traffic safety problems such as speeding or to non-targeted individuals such as parents? |
