| 摘要： | Using transformation capability at the Danforth Center and University of Missouri, a soybean somatic embryo system will be used. Like seeds, somatic embryos accumulate oil and storage proteins, and this system has proven to be a powerful predictor for seed-specific traits in soybean. For the proposed experiments, transformation of somatic soybean embryos will be used to establish the efficacy of traits that alter the content and quality of the oil. Transformation events that are identified as positive in somatic embryos will be regenerated into plants for production of genetically enhanced seeds. |
