| 摘要： | This research project will do the following: (1) Elucidate the synthetic pathways to models of non-glycosidic ether bonds between lignin and hemicellulose; (2) Isolate 3-5 potential sources of an enzyme that can specifically cleave those bonds and facilitate their identification; (3) Increase the efficiency in biofuel production from lignin-hemicellulose based biomass; and (4) Increase environmental friendliness of biorefineries. |
