| 摘要： | The objective of this research project is to determine the best ways to add policy sensitivity to a microsimulation of commodity flows. The MVFC freight model is presently heavily descriptive with only a limited ability to test policies designed to improve the transportation system. In addition, more conventional freight models for large, mulitstate regions have been deficient in how trucking costs have been handled. This project will take a fresh look as public-agency freight policies and match them with the potential capabilities of a microsimulation freight model. It is expected that critical changes to the MVFC freight model will occur within two particular steps: destination choice and path finding. |
