摘要：	Getting drivers attention prior to a work zone is vital for the safety of the workers and the traveling public. In recent years Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has begun deploying rumble strips ahead of some work zones to catch the attention of drivers. There are multiple types of rumble strips including those meant for short term use and those for longer projects. This project will look for best practices with rumble strips and the effectiveness of use. It is anticipated the research team will gather data from other states as well as Missouri’s use. The deliverables of the project will include recommendations on what type of rumble strip is most effective in different situations.
