摘要: A study has been made on the performance and service life expectancy of periodical renewals provided under IRQP works to various newly declared National Highways of MP. Due to premature failure of these treatments an alternate design has been developed and proposed under this study and active maintenance program with few selected preventive techniques have been incorporated to extend the service life of the provided treatment for estimated design period. The developed model is based on complete analysis of structural and functional condition of selected sections of NH59 and to crust tnickness, road inventory data, BBD data, traffic volume survey, category of the road, shoulder width, drainage conditions, surface type and thickness, pavement layer details, photographic survey, roughness, construction and maintenance records of the Highway division. Under suggested methodology Firstly analysis of pavement performance for five years has been done for periodical renewal with routine maintenance provided under IRQP works which is years by the time when roughness will exceeds 5000 mm/Km and same has been compared with the proposed alternate design. Under tnis proposal the road section will be strengthening initially as per actual requirement and future traffic projections, and preventive maintenance treatments with schedule funds will be applied throughout during the design life of Ten years always when the pavement serviceability indicators (PSI) reach from excellent to good condition. All analysis has been done on five different pavement conditions (v-poor, poor, fair, good & excellent) and rating (in terms of PSI) based on different types of defects and their severity in percentage basis. The suggested remedial measure results low VOC, maintains quality level, and extend the pavement life and provide benefit to road users.
