| 摘要： | This document presents a review which focused on the development and deployment of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) products and services in metropolitan areas. It involved interviewing a broad cross section of state, regional, and local transportation officials regarding their perceptions of ITS, motivations for deployment, and the role of ITS in present and future planning efforts. The document contains a series of white papers that are based on the interviews. The papers address the following topics: motivation, ITS planning and deployment, public sector interaction, training and education benefits, transit agency involvement in ITS, and the impact of environmental factors on the planning and deployment of ITS. Overviews are also provided for seven metropolitan areas. |
