| 摘要： | The Advanced Driver and Vehicle Advisory Navigation Concept (ADVANCE) project has been underway for nearly three years. Numerous reports on the project have been presented at the Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS America) over the last few years. These reports have mainly dealt with global issues, such as status of the project and lessons learned with detailed technical issues have been presented in other forums. This paper covers the traffic-management portion of the ADVANCE project, in particular the operations of the traffic information center (TIC). ADVANCE is an operational test of the concept of dynamic route-guidance being conducted in northeastern Illinois. It will involve 75 vehicles outfitted with on-board navigation systems. A basic system has been implemented, tested, and continues to be upgraded. |
