摘要: |
The paper discusses some of the reasons why the Scottish Executive is keen to join up with the private sector to form partnership arrangements to develop systems providing traffic information to travellers and in particular to road users. It identifies the main policy objectives of the Scottish Executive and how these objectives are being met through the operation of Scotland’s National Driver Information and Control System. The paper also explains the part played by industry and the need to identify champions to develop Intelligent Transport Systems, within a set framework, which the traveller will value. Finally, the paper summarises the benefits which can be realised through participation in public/private partnerships. |
