| 摘要： | Craig Temple's newly restored Leeds City Transport AEC Swift, Roe-bodied 1070 (AUB 170J) (Preservation Update last month), had its fleetnames, coats of arms and fleetnumbers applied in time to mark the 134th anniversary of the birth of Charles H Roe. The Swift, 50 years old this year, headed a parade of five preserved and one modern vehicle on May 22 that the Transport Yorkshire Preservation Group organised on May 22 to honour than man whose Leeds business became one of the UK's leading bodybuilders and was revived in 1985 as Optare. The cavalcade passed the site of the original Roe factory, called at the Charles Henry Roe pub in Crossgates and at the site of the nearby Roe, later Optare factory. |
