The Impact of Access Management Techniques on Driver Behaviors
项目名称: The Impact of Access Management Techniques on Driver Behaviors
摘要: This project will identify a set of access management techniques (AMTs) that may have an impact on driver behaviors and will quantify AMTs impact on driver behaviors based on emerging data sets such as the Naturalistic Driving Study (NDS). The project will review recent (1998 to present) literature on AMTs effect on crashes/near crashes and negative driver behavior as well as "National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) 420: Impacts of Access Management Techniques." The project will conduct up to nine interviews with experts in the field to supplement and validate the insights gathered from NCHRP 420 and the literature review. Using the findings, the project will complete a general assessment of the feasibility of analyzing the effects of AMTs on negative driver behaviors. Once identifying AMTs, the project will conduct an analysis of the NDS data to determine whether it will be feasible to estimate the effects of the AMTs on driver behaviors of interest. If it is feasible, the project will conduct the analysis. These efforts will be documented in a final report.
