摘要：	There is a need for a standardized laboratory method that can be linked to the stiffness measurements of asphalt pavements by resonance measurement to enable nondestructive quality checks of roads. Current laboratory standards are primarily based on cyclic loading where the stiffness is measured under different conditions compared to the stiffness measurements in the field. General Project strategies: modal analysis will be carried out on the same specimens at different laboratories to minimize variations from unique properties of the speciemens; Swedish and French pavement types will be tested produced by Eiffage and Peab Asphalt; a software application to perform the tests is allocated to project participants; each project participants, however, is free to use any facilities to perform and analyze the measurements. The results are expected to provide a basis for the development of alternative technical specification or EN method that describes nondestructive measuring of stiffness for quality control of asphalt pavements.
