摘要：	The project is a feasibility/pilot study which aims to investigate in which fields there is the most potential to support cycling as a mode of transport in rural areas, particular focus in areas in the north of Sweden. Four focus areas are formulated: 1) Improve guidelines; 2) Develop knowledge of the effects of physical measures; 3) Develop knowledge of the effects of soft measures; 4) develop working methods and forms of cooperation. The result is a survey of the different aspects that influence cycling as a mode of transport in rural areas and a synthesis of which aspects are considered to be instrumental to develop as well as study further to support cycling as a mode of transport in rural areas.
