摘要：	To demonstrate solutions to minimize the emission and environmental impact of smaller ships operating near coast or inland. The largest impact related to emission and environmental relates to the fuel. A key task in the project is to demonstrate that introduction of methanol as a fuel, for these vessels, can improve competitive power and meet the environmental and climate goals. Trafikverket road ferries are equipped with engines in the same range as those used on pilot boats. These 10-15 litre engines are marine adopted truck engines. This means that the findings from this project also will be relevant for land applications such as terminal vehicles, forest, farming and construction equipment and of course road vehicles. The intention of the project is to address technology and solutions that is equally relevant for both these segments.
