| 摘要： | The Altarum Institute, under contract to the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), currently is engaged in a project called the Transportation Applications of Restricted Use Technology (TARUT) Study. This study, an 18-month effort, seeks to apply restricted use technology to the mandates of MDOT. This study makes extensive use of a stakeholder focus group process to identify transportation system needs and applications that restricted use technology can address. To date, the Altarum team has held two rounds of focus group meetings, including the Focus Group Kickoff Meeting held February 7-8, 2006 and a second round meeting with all of the five focus groups held in March 2006. This report, Deliverable 3.3 of the TARUT Study, presents the business needs identified by the focus groups and, in particular, details the promising pilot studies identified by the focus groups and ties them to the data needs and gaps identified as business needs for MDOT and other transportation agencies. |
