"While we are inducing change ourselves, there is also a requirement that has been placed upon us by the Engineering Council (EngC) to modernise our framework documents. We're refreshing our Memorandum S Articles of Association (Mem & Arts) so that our Board is ready and capable for the next 20 years. "As a Society, we haven't updated our Mem & Arts for 17 years. We need to bring ourselves up to date and look forward to the future. The single most important change is the freeing up of the PSC Chairs from the legal obligations of Board membership. I need the PSC Chairs to singularly focus on their professional sectors rather than the workings of the Board." |
