| 摘要： | Rumours continue to circulate that the Department for Transport is considering the introduction of a £2 maximum single fare - or possibly a flat fare - for any bus journey in England. It has been suggested that the offer would commence in October, for a period of up to six months, as a means of helping to reduce the cost of living. However, the DfT issued a statement in mid-July, which sought to rebuff the speculation. It said "The Department is continually looking at policy options to support bus patronage and the cost of living, working with ... key stakeholders, including operators. At this point in time no policy decisions have been taken." |
