Because of the submarining modifier and the severe injuries of chest and neck, a vehicle's rear seat occupant only got a score of 0. 04 points in the full width frontal rigid barrier crash test(FRB)based on C-NCAP(2015). This paper analyzes the inju- ry's mechanism of rear seat occupant and proposes the solution in the opinion of engineering. The score rose to 1. 54 points in the verifi- cation test that proves the effectiveness of the optimization and provides a feasible reference for subsequent vehicle development. |
