Taking car drum brake as an object of study,we developed a type of multi-physics two-way coupling analysis method that was capable of controlling data exchange and mapping & interpolation function,and a simulation method on thermal fatigue life span analysis based on the classic Manson-Coffin theory.We applied this method to the bench test of drum brake hot crack,and then conduc-ted a comparison between the brake drum thermal fatigue life span generated in the simulated prediction after analysis and that generated from the bench test measurement.The comparison result shows: the brake life span prediction overall accuracy is above 90%,the de-veloped brake multi-physics two-way coupling analysis & life span prediction method is more advanced with high precise analysis,and has the value of engineering application and promotion in improving the capability of brake design. |
