The central bussiness district (C.B.D.) is
the imDortant part of the city. It is also the
center of city economy, life and public aeti
vities.Without question , city traffic is
very important to the formation and the de
velopment of C.B.D. The relation between the
city commerce and traffic is always the impo
tant problem studied in the city planning.
City is a dynamical system. The circulation
and the city traffic must be first improved
in order to develop the city economy. The
circulation, which is mean o the commOdity
circulation , is achieved by urban traffic.
Thus urban triffic is the prerequisite of the
improvement of the city commodity circulation.
on the other hand , C.B.D. is usually not
only the center of the city bussiness but also
the center of the city traffic. The convenient
traffic brings the prosperity and profit to
the city commerce , but at the same time . the
high concentration of the people and vehicles
in C.B.D. makes this district to be one of the
districts where the traffic problem is extre
mely seriously. Due to the recent ‘economy
open and reform'. the activities of city co
mmerce become more and more prosperous. The
trufflc problem in C.B.D ., which has been
fully bordered before , is becoming sharper
and sharper. The environment of C.B.D. becomes
worse repadily. Thus many cities , large or sm
small, face to this serious problem. So the
improvement of traffic is treated as the first
important task in C.B.D. rebuilding and new
oonstruction by many cities. It has become a
subject which must be studied immediately that
how to mltigate the traffic contradiction in
C .B .D.
In recent years , many domestic cities ,
according to their specific conditions , as
well as drawing on the succeed experience
abroad , have made some theoretical and
practical exploring to find the ways solving
this subject.But till now most exploring is
still reotricted within the traffic organiza
tion and the rebuilding of streets at parts
area in C.B.D. In this paper, the author has
tryed , viewing the point as a whole ,to
discuss the traffic combination and the inter
active principle of the ‘point and piane'
relation between C.B.D.and the traffic of the
whole city,the different traffic attractive
properties of city commerce,as well as the
optimization of traffic center location and the
evaluation of accessibility of shopping center.
This papes is divided into four chapters.
In the fist chapter , we discussed mainly
the properties of the shopping trip of habi
tants and the flowing people in the city ,the
different types of shopping trip. These are
very important traffic factors must be consi
dered in shopping center distribution and
Planning.
In the second chapter , the cluster analysis
and correlation analysis of the cities with
dif erent types of commodity economy and tra
ffic had been carried out Viewing the point as
macroscopically in ordcr to find the simi
larities and differences of the eontradiction
between the commeroe and the trafffic in citieS.
From the point of view of middie layer , we
discussed the interactive mechamism between
the formation and development of shopping cen
ter and the roads and trafflc of eities.The
author put forward the traffic principles in
the shopping center distribution. and also
discussed the quantative method of the optimi
tation for the traffic location of shopping
cen ter.
In the third chapter. from different
aspects , we earriad oud the cluster analysis
and correlation analysis on theintensity of
land use and the different types of traffie
attrative properties of commerce in C.B.D.
We also posed some mathematical modlesand
reviewed the related theory and viewpoint
abroad .
In the last chapter . taking JINAN for
example . the author analysis therelation
ship between the shopping center and traffic
by applying the methods and the viewpoints
developed in this paper , and also the quan
titatily positional relation emong the shopp
ing center , the gravity center of population
distribution, and the traffic optimization
center. We elso applied the program,‘ACOTS
1.00',developed by lecturer song xiao-Dong,to
analys the accessiBility of three shopping
center existing in JINAN, and further the
author made some suggestions to improve the
distribution of the shopping center and the
organization of traffic in C.B.D. |
