Cathodic Protection for Bridge Tendons |
摘要: |
The objectives of this study are: (1) Identify target tendon types and conditions where cathodic protection/preventation is most needed and has the greatest potential for success. (2) For the target systems, determine whether cathodic protection/prevention can be feasibly applied to arrest corrosion induced by grouting deficiencies, while sufficiently reducing risk of the intervention creating hydrogen embrittlement of comparable degration. (3) In the event of positive resolution of (b), a propose a conceptual design and adequate envelope of operating conditions of a corrosion control system for the target system, to serve as the basis of follow-up development research. (4) Completion of activities started under BDK84 977-21 consisting of experiments and analysis to establish efficiency of cathodic prevention, and formulation of proposed guidelines for applicationin FDOT strtuctures including tendon corrosion control. This project includes continuation work from BDK84 TWO 977-21. |
