摘要：	Public transport planning is a key factor in supporting improvements in urban sustainability. The role of Public Transport is especially important in dispersed suburban contexts where other sustainable alternatives to the motor vehicle such as walking and cycling are less viable. Well planned public transport supported by rigorous design and planning of the feeder system and their interconnections is essential for achieving the task of making car dependent cities more sustainable. A multi-modal transportation system with seamless feeder transport and planned interchange and parking facilities would ensure the use of public transport to its best potential. It should cater public transport security, safety and emergency/disaster management, noise pollution & abatement measures for urban transportation, integrated ticketing, seamless travel across modes and intelligent transportation system. In this paper an attempt has been made to review literature for feeder transport system at public terminals towards achieving sustainable transport system.
