摘要: SYSTEMATIC RESEARCH IS TO BE CARRIED OUT ON THE BUCKLING BEHAVIOUR OF WEB PLATES SUBJECTED TO CONCENTRATED TRANSVERSE LOADS AND BENDING MOMENT WITH TRANSVERSE LOAD, IN ORDER TO CREATE PRINCIPLES FOR DETERMINING THE LIMITS OF VALIDITY OF CHECKS FOR PURE WEB PLATE PARTIALLY HIPPED ENDS. THE OBJECT IS ALSO TO DETERMINE REALISTIC BEARING LOADS FOR THE CASE OF WEB PLATE BUCKLING AND TO DETERMINE BEHAVIOUR IN THE SUBSEQUENT BEARING LOAD AREA IN ORDER TO OBTAIN STARTING POINTS FOR ESTABLISHING SENSIBLE SAFETY COEFFICIENTS. TESTS ARE TO BE UNDERTAKEN IN WHICH THE PARAMETERS SHEET METAL SLENDERNESS, WEB STIFFNESS, CUTTING FORCE COMBINATION M/Q, LOAD CONTACT AREA AND PLACE OF LOADING ARE TO BE SYSTEMATICALLY VARIED.
