The project consists of three part-studies. Part 1, content: follow-up and deepening in accident types relevant to longer HCT by extracts from STRADA between 2003 and 2016. Additional work is required to identify lane change accidents. Correlation between vehicle length and * accidents; * Type of accident; * Injury Levels; * Variation over year, season, time of day, etc.; * Geographic location for accidents. Part 2: Content: Assessing how today's road safety for heavy vehicles can be affected by automation, in both positive and negative directions. * State-of-the-art over automation of heavy vehicles and forecast for technology development; * Knowledge mode for automated heavy vehicles and road safety; * Reporting road safety aspects for automated longer HCT vehicles. Part 3: Content: investigate and explain the conditions for Sweden to set higher or other driver requirements than those currently in force for heavy vehicles (CE), without these being considered to be contrary to Directive 2006/126 / EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 December 2006 on driving licenses, the so-called third driving license directive. |
