摘要:   Working at sea for most of the time, offshore observation platforms require high ability to resist waves.Investigation on the motion characteristics of the platforms can provide significant reference to the design procedure.In this work, a series of numerical simulation on the interaction of a triple-hulled offshore observation platform with different incident waves is conducted.Duration curves of motion characteristics and loads acting on it are obtained, and a comparison between the results of the amplitude under different incident waves is drawn.All of the simulation is implemented using naoe-Foam-SJTU solver which is developed on the open source code OpenFOAM.The Finite Volume Method is applied to discretize the governing equations, free surface is captured by VOF method, and the PISO algorithm is utilized for pressure-velocity decoupling.The dynamic mesh deformation technique is also employed to simulate the motion of the platform.
