摘要: |
A sequence of experiments on the shake table are performed to study the resonance sloshing and the effect of parametric conditions in a rectangular tank.The partially filled storage tank is horizontally subjected to harmonic sinusoidal excitations,which are imposed by varying the excitation frequency ranging from 0.4 Hz to 1.3 Hz under three different excitation amplitudes for three different filling rates.The maximum run-up near the side wall is measured under different excitation conditions.Apart near the natural frequency,the results confirm the fairly good agreement between the analytical solution and experimental results.However,the analytical solutions fail to predict the maximum run-up when the excitation frequencies are closer to the smallest natural frequency.In addition,three-dimensional effects are apparent for the largest excitation amplitude. |
