摘要: Purpose and goal: The aim is to develop a co-simulation environment, enabling studies of the interaction between vulnerable road users and self-driving vehicles. Direct goals are to -Develop tools for geodata handling and simulator integration -Implement a co-simulation environment in virtual reality including a demo scenario -Increase knowledge regarding co-simulation technology and methodology Expected results and effects: Results include 1) tools for geodata handling in driving simulation development, 2) a driveable simulator scenario with select road stretches for a self-driving shuttle, 3) a driving simulator setup with a “multi-player” 3D VR environment, accessible from different “viewpoints”, and 4) know-how and skills in co-simulation technology and methodology. Approach and implementation: There are five work packages: WP1) tool development for geodata handling in a driving simulation environment, WP2) simulator development, WP3) co-simulation set-up in VR, WP4) use case descriptions and demonstration, and, WP5) project administration, including reporting and results dissemination.
