Prospekteringsmetoder fr kulturmiljvrden i samband med planering. Kartlggning och analys av metoder
项目名称: Prospekteringsmetoder fr kulturmiljvrden i samband med planering. Kartlggning och analys av metoder
摘要: The project is a pilot study that aims to map different prospection methods that are frequently used within the planning of the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) and have potential to be reused within cultural heritage analysis. The objective is to identify a number of potential methods that can be tested within a wider project that runs over a longer period and involves more partners with specific competences. Method: In order to clarify which methods that are used within Trafikverkets ordinary planning a review of different methods that have been used in previous infrastructure projects will be carried out; To identify suitable methods and possible applications an overview will be compiled of current Swedish and international research within remote sensing and archaeological prospection; To identify suitable methods for further analysis an evaluation of various methods that are currently used within Trafikverket's planning will be carried out. The evaluation will focus on the potential of the method to be used within cultural heritage analysis ande archaeological prospection; Other methods that are currently used for archaeological prospection within Sweden and internationally and that would be useful for Trafikverket's planning will be identified. Relevance: Lidar scanning, GPR and photographing by drones are examples of methods that are currently used within archaeological prospection and research to identify unknown archaeological remains and to adjust incorrect positions of known remains. Several of these methods are also used by Trafikverket for planning new roads and railways. Although these methods are not aimed to identify archaeological remains the results may be applicable to this kind of identification. The possibility to use data in more ways that one means a more effective planning, both regarding time and economy. In addition, cultural heritage analysis that are based on several analysis and multyproxydata will be more comprehensive regarding information of previously unknown archaeological remains.
