| 摘要： | In the research project deformations and failure mechanisms of peat, similar to those below embankments, is studied for some typical Swedish peat soils. Model tests in laboratory is conducted on some selected peat soil types with different degree of decomposition. In order to study the movements (deformations) of the peat, image analysis technique is used. The aim of the project is to contribute to a better understanding of how peat soils can be deformed below embankments and as an experimental basis for the coming development of better material models for peat soils and thus possibilities for improved calculations of settlements and stability of embankments founded on peat. |
