In this project movements and pore pressures caused by the two test embankments placed on fine-grained sulphide soil at the test field Lampen continues to be measured during the years 2017-2020. For the test embankments, built the years 2010 and 2011, previously mainly settlements and pore pressure changes have been studied, and in the current study also strength increase is handled and special focus is on the stress conditions around the preconsolidation pressure. The project is expected to lead to improved possibilities to predict the development in situ of deformations (settlements), pore pressures and undrained shear strength for stresses around the preconsolidation pressures of fine-grained sulphide soils. One aim is to improve the possibilities for a more efficient and safer use of preloading as a method to improve fine-grained sulphide soils. |
