The project involves the development and proposed control methods for quality assurance of measuring methods. To meet the demands for reliable performance in the execution of maintenance actions or new construction, and as a basis for long-term planning, reliable data with sufficient accuracy is needed. Whether a contract implies functional requirements or detailed requirements they must be monitored by reliable means. Existing measurement systems and methods need to be tested in an organized manner, and classified in terms of quality, i.e. a kind of certification process. Some measurement systems / methods already have a control process, some not. Often, incorrectly, calibration is referred to as a control. The methods must be anchored in the rules and requirements, both in the national and European standards. The methods must also be accepted by the stakeholders involved. This proposal is limited to managing measurement via road surface measurement, road markings and friction measurement, and where possible to coordinate them. |
