摘要: |
To evaluate pedestrian lowerleg protection,the Transport Research Laboratory(TRL)legform impact tests have been used according to EU regulation.The TRL legform impactor consists of two steel tubes,a pair of deformable knee bending plate made of steel and a shear-spring system with a damper.A Flexible Pedestrian Leg-form Impactor(Flex-PLI),which has flexible femur and tibia,has been discussed to be adopted in the Global Technical Regulation on Pedestrian Safety.The Flex-PLI was first used for pedestrian lowerleg evaluation test in China.The test results with both legforms are compared.Test results show that for the tested car,bumper system well designed for the TRL legform can also satisfy the proposed criterion for the Flex-PLI. |
